A Great Scholar, a chair-greedy leader, A helpless PM: World’s Largest Democracy. Ya ..That's the condition, and finally the media interaction of our PM Mr.Manmohan Singh has reflected the Helplessness of the highest leader of world's largest democracy. "Well it happens in a Collision Government", I don't thing it is a valid reason of eating up or put the words correct looting up millions of billions of hardworking taxpayers money, well a PM must feel some responsibility and a nation must feel a sense of shame hearing such statement from a PM.
Now I think they need the complete autocracy so that they can loot the country with relaxing mood, luxury with no hurry and fear, that is the thing, otherwise I have not been able to point out a single reason, to destroy thousands of million, of again hardworking taxpayers money on malfunctioning of parliament, just for a cause that we cant be fair, transparent to country and demand of opposition for JPC is undemocratic and like one of demands of Naxalites after all its congress government,
which have habit of ruling, looting and depositing in Swiss bank without any interruption, since we always keep functional authorities as rubber stamps (i.e president (Ms. Prathibha patil, yahoo I remember it, my GK is good, CBI, rest all which can be a trouble..).I think opposition is mean to stop government to loot and do wrongs and has right to object, ask for investigation in probe and I don't find any more democratic way than JPC neither Indian constitution.BJP has run a very successful collision government and still running in few states but after six years of being in opposition and with all ill effects and trials of current corrupt government not a single probe has been mounted on BJP and the reason is clear, they had a leader, Mr. Vajpayee.
Finally the words of PM after announcing JPC that he did not want Budget session in vein so he has to agree on JPC thought it was not required, ya how can any interruption in loot be require by the Government. It makes me feel pure shame too say I am being governed by such impudent leader and most critical thing is that he is educated and educated more than anyone as, this put a question mark on the debate do we really need educated leaders?.
Now coming to the latest fiasco, I am a bit week in understanding farming and market dynamics, but still it not fitting in my small brain how the onion prices has gone to Rs.80/kg and with in a month again fallen to Rs. 10/kg, even less, where in India onion farming done with in one month when its recently been damage or so many natural causes has lead to crisis.Same is the case with some other commodities. No way this inflation rate is having any relevance with salary structure(no matter its gov. or private).
Finally Budget has been presented yesterday,PM said FM has done a commendable Job,I really really praise this, but this commendably done job not includes any new school, colleague, hospital and other basic need which India really needs, snatched right to live with dignity from middle men, (branded clothes and essential things will be more costly, petrol sky touching rates will see more increase, getting cured in ICU will need service tax on it), are special feature of budget. If we see an over view of budget it has almost 10 lakh rupee for each citizen, and ten lakh a year is good enough to change an individuals life. I wonder where this money goes. Since still none of poor people life changed in few past budgets neither will change in this.
Now My last point, Albert Einstein , I think he has the best brain available on earth till date, he had said he never understood the concept of income tax, why tax on income, if it is, it must take into the consideration of number of dependent on earner. One day I was calculating and an average or say common man spend their more than half money paying as tax, in direct or indirect form.(i.e weather you buy a toothpaste or car maximum profit earned by government including direct and indirect, almost 32% of price goes to government as tax). Lets suppose a person is earning 5 lacs a year and has 5 number of dependent on him how can he will spare 38K as tax when he is already paying more than his half as different form of tax and he has to cater a family of 5 person too. That's completely urological.I am a taxpayer and I pay my tax with honesty and want others to pay also, but at the same time I also want to seek knowledge where my money is being spent(though I know the destination), but in most cases it divided into political ledders and have a common destination, Swiss Bank.In our country there is and will same problems poverty, unemployment, corruption and its burden again come on hardworking tax payers in terms of new taxes.
That's the over view of Government:Learning from it :
1. Be like Gandhiji ke teen bander, close your eyes, shut your mouth, put figures in your ears and try to understand limitation of collision government.
2. Work hard pay more tax , so that more money can be deposited in the Swiss bank.
3. Don't do mistakes what Mr. APJ, Miss Kiran Bedi has done, dreaming about better India and expressing and working towards it too, not being a rubber stump, U will be simply thrown out, this government does not like interruptions in their development loots.
4. Don't at all try to point out gov. ministers or policies like MR. Lalit Modi or recently Baba Ramdev has done , other wise, a Well directed CBI will be put behind you, and so many other agencies after all government is powerful. Believe me they will simply screw you and your life.
5. Last but not the list, since we are habitual of it and its our chosen government so why to complain, keep voting congress, and enjoy the suffer.
Our goverenment seems quite worried about the political crisis in Libya and Egypt, but what I feel is if some cpuntry is suffering from real political and democretic crisis that is India, only India and now the time has come when all dictored country moving to democracy, I hope India will also move from dynestic autocracy to democracy, a real democracy.
Hope will have a good discussion on that, this is Vikas putting pen down and signing it off of the day.....have a good night and enjoy life.....
Alright, I have a lot of things to say so let's get started:
ReplyDelete1. It's good to see you blogging after such a long time. I know you are busy, but I also knew something was coming, you were 'buzzing' a lot lately!
2. The things that I always keep mentioning, I need to mention this time too. I still found a lot of typing mistakes and a few grammatical ones too.
I know it is daunting to write such a large post and then go on and correct it. But to make the blog post a true joy to read, it has to be done.
Don't get me wrong, I myself make a lot of mistakes when I write, but just proof reading even once help eliminate a lot of mistakes. I don't know where you write your posts but using a word processor like MS word can also help.
New Note 49
ReplyDeleteNow coming to the blog itself, I have a few comments to make.
1. You like the opposition, have been at the throat of the Govt. for the past 8 months or so. And going by what's been happening I don't blame you for doing that.
2. "A Great Scholar, a chair-greedy leader, A helpless PM". Great Scholar? Yes. Helpless? Yes. Chair-greedy? I don't think so. For what's happening, if the PM resigns I would think that to be a coward act. According to me, our PM should remain at power but it's time to show who's the boss.
3. "do we really need educated leaders?" Well that's a no brainer. We need educated leaders. Not necessarily MBAs or LLBs but someone who knows his XYZ. Proper education can eradicate a lot of ill-beliefs and stereotypes. I don't want a leader who believes girl should still be behind 'parda'.
But I know, what you are referring to is being street smart than being a dumb literate.
4. Regarding the onion prices, I think that was related to a number of factors coming together like shortage due to crop failure, exports and hoarding etc. Of course, the crisis shouldn't have been there in the first place , but you gotta give credit to the govt. for getting it under control so quickly.
5. I don't know the nitty gritty of the details, but what I know is that a budget pleasing every section of India is not feasible. It's not that we have got unlimited money and we can allocate as much as we want anywhere. Of course, the ruling party will applause the budget and the opposition will call it 'directionless.'
6. You say that they haven't mentioned anything about opening new schools, hospitals and other institutions. But what's the use of announcement if they can't be met. I believe that there have been a lot of such announcements in previous budgets. I think India will benefit more if previous promises are kept properly rather than promptly making new ones.
7. Almost 10 lakh to each citizen. Well if that's true that's a lot of money. But it simply can't be distributed to every Indian equally just like not everyone in a company can have the same salary. A lot of money goes in Infrastructure projects, and only those people will get the benefit who use that infrastructure. Besides, only Central Govt. isn't responsible for the poors, the respective state govts are even more responsible for that. And there is a chain from the top to the bottom, so a lot of fraction gets cut as 'commission'.
8. "common man spend their more than half money paying as tax, in direct or indirect form.." that's an interesting observation! I didn't know that.
9. It seems like you have written this article because of your frustration of having to loose a chunk of your salary as IT and then not getting any benefit. May be when I start to earn, I will understand it better.
10. For the record, let me make it very clear. I am not taking any sides here. I am defending the Govt. or the Congress or anyone else. So, let's not make it another Congress vs. BJP debate.
In fact, to the tell the truth, I wasn't really inclined to read this article primarily because of it's theme "The Failure of Govt.". I am just getting fed up of reading and listening to it day in and day out. Everyday a new crisis/problem/corruption/scam/blunder comes in news. I have also reduced reading newspapers because of this. I just want this to end and that means change of govt. so be it. Because of Failure of Govt. is actually Failure of India and I don't want that.
Hi Ravs....let me officially congratulate you on ur superb article on bus seat....
ReplyDeleteNow on above discussion.........
Let me tell you when I think of writing a complete post, I very much wanted to start with pro's(positives) of gov. but unfortunately I did not gather any thing positive about govt. second term.
1. Opposition is actually the right protector of country people's interest so they are mean to be a nail in government throat as check point , when ever they play with the common men interest by deviating from its path nail should start pinching. The strong is opposition better will be the governance.
2.Well after this much if he still have love for the chair, then he is chair greedy and his whole life earn respect gone into the vein, if he had resigned may be, his respect could have been resorted.Well in true views he is not at all a leader.
First time in Indian history, Supreme court has sacked an officer appointed by PM & committee, and recent news paper news and those 3 letters clearly indicating that he was well aware with the facts , and this is raising as well as establishing quite strong facts about his intentions. He is not at all a clean man, this is for sure.
3.About Education : I always have a believe that education never provides or create great leaders, Highly educated people can be good servants and diplomats, recent case of PM reflects the same, he was a great Governor of RBI, now a very loyal pet to Gandhi family, he never has been the leader. Though it said the country is being run by diplomat and bureaucrats but actually we need leaders to give direction to the work. Now I respect the person who has framed constitution and not make education (formal) to be a criteria for contesting elections), Education mean to create employs specially in India.
4.Regarding onion prices, well this is a very tricky and interesting one, I think u have taken it in general way but it has a great political depth, elections in Maharashtra is around the corner and it was a fund raising campaign by Sharad Powar and company, and it was a well scripted drama nothing surprise in it.So appreciation cant be given to government.
5.Well I think this country has 30% population poor,40% in very lower middle class, 20 % upper middle class and 10 % can be called rich and no one seems happy about it specially the chunk of 70% population, 30 % has got nothing and the 40% has forced to degrade their lives.I never evaluate budget on bases of ruling or opposition party but if some minded brains says something about budget then have to agree and in this budget even I can sense the failure with my extreme tiny brains.
Continued :
ReplyDelete6.I am not at all saying about announcement , I am just concern about the fund distribution, in a country where still 40% children does have schools to go and a throat cutting competition is there for collage (and private one's fee can give u heart attack and unfortunately no new hospital has been allocated in budget)
7. the figure is exactly correct, we can go and check on RBI website simply get the budget amount and divide it by 1.2 billion 9.8 (approx) will be it.Well its very right that in a company every employ cant get similar salary but such huge investments must reflect in growth and betterment of country..which is lacking here, In case of infrastructure well from last three budgets the amount has been spent on infra is not reflecting in infra of country but some leaders infra development is reflecting it correctly, and country infra (i.e golden corridor and other big projects are being out source and finally common man have to pay one more tax that is toll tax for traveling on those roads.
About state government, ya they are responsible but in states like orrisa and Bihar where no source of income(practically) is there will look forward to gov. on the other hand Gujarat never ask for anything, and central government has centralized revenue so it automatically make central more responsible towards it.
8. Well its true and let me explain you a bit, suppose if you buy a tooth paste of Rs.80 in that (10.3 % is excise,2%cst(since every state does not have the manufacturing unit) 14.5 % VAT , then there will be taxes on RM,lets say 2% of cost, then there will be certain profit by manufacturer, trader wholesaler, then direct sale and all has to pay income tax on it so let it be 3%, so its sum up to be around 32% and it goes from buyer pocket) then they have income tax and service tax, s its finally sum up more than your 50 of money earned.
9. IT I always pay and a year back, backed the point that we should contribute towards the country. But But But I cant give my hard earn money just to pile-up some ones Swiss bank account. Its not at all about congress VS BJP its only about India Vs corrupt no super corrupt government.
Well this type of arena suggests that there is something wrong, and this crisis is just the outcome of what government has done and done wrong for their own benefit.Actually what real damage it has done is, it has destroyed the faith of youth over government and government agencies and in system, this is very dangerous.Well getting a disease is not a big problem but getting a disease which can not be cured is a big problem.
And we can imagine the face of a country and Government who's CVC has been sacked for corruption and still Government owns no moral responsibility neither the chair greedy PM who is unfortunately a scholar too.
